The party was a grand success... until around 11:45 when baby girl started to puke and then proceeded to puke every hour after that until about 5 AM.
Yep - she came down with what bug had. After the third round of puking I convinced her not to guzzle the water down and to suck on an ice chip. She was terribly thirsty and was begging me for more water. The ice chips helped her a lot.
Thanks to all of my blog friends I had plenty of tips to follow when your child is not able to keep anything down.

Poor girl! I am so sorry, on her first big sleepover party. You will laugh about this in years to come.
Oh NO!! Poor girl and Poor You. Get yourself some Airborne.
Oh no! I hope no one else gets sick.
Oh no!!! I was hoping that wouldn't happen! I hope the other girls don't tote it home with them, too! You're a trooper!
Oh no...how did the other kids do?
Oh no! Well, at least she made it through the party ok.
This exact thing happened to me when my 7yo son had a sleepover during Christmas break. Except it wasn't my son that got sick. It was one of his friends.
I kept asking the kid if he wanted me to call his Mom and he kept reassuring me that he felt better. After the third time I decided to listen to myself instead of the first grader and call his Mom.
I had a ton of yucky laundry to take care of. The best part was that my son and another friend slept through the whole fiasco. But another little boy was not so lucky. When he was woken up he decided he had to go to the bathroom. He ran in but couldn't figure out the light and wound up peeing on the floor.
Thank God my husband did the cleanup duty. I just did the laundry.
